First came The Walking Dead comic books and then came the highly rated TV show starring Andrew Lincoln which was written/produced by Frank Darabont whose credits include the incredible 'The Shawshank Redemption' and the underrated 'The Green Mile', now we have The Walking Dead novel.

 This is a new trilogy of books written by Robert Kirkman and Jay Bonansinga, Kirkman is the comic book writer for The Walking Dead graphic novels and Bonansinga is a respected author of novels 'Perfect Victim' and 'Shattered' amongst others.

Set in the world created by Robert Kirkman this standalone trilogy is fast-paced, action-packed storytelling about the lengths some men will go to survive. With new characters, new storylines and with the same in-depth character-based plotting that has made the television series such an immediate hit, this trilogy of novels is sure to be a hit with those who love zombies and those who have loved the TV series and comic books.

Dark Souls

 

 Dark Souls RPG is one tough cookie!

Dark Souls is very much the successor to the Playstation 3 game Demon's Souls, whereas Demon's Souls was exclusively for the PS3 Dark Souls is also available for the Xbox360.

Demon's Souls was well none for its high difficulty, but Dark Souls is even harder, you have been warned!

The Dark Souls publishers have stated that there is no intention of having additional downloadable content for the game as they believe the game is set up in balanced complete state and is therefore unnecessary.

Metacritic.com states that Dark Souls is a dark fantasy RPG designed to completely embrace the concepts of tension in dungeon exploration, fear in encountering enemies, the joy of new discoveries, and a high sense of achievement in progressing. The game is set in a dark fantasy world filled with decadent atmosphere, with a heavy emphasis on player freedom in discovering various tactics and strategies to use in weapon based combat.

Top Werewolf Movies

The horror movie genre is blessed with a number of very good werewolf movies, a surprising number of the top movies have a humorous element to them, think An American Werewolf in London and Dog Soldiers with its gruff army humour.

 Werewolves have long been a favourite of horror movies and fiction and the origins of the werewolf movie came from early folklores and myths,although elements have evolved in the movies such as the werewolves vulnerability to silver bullets or the passing on of werewolf traits by bites or wounds.

Werewolf movies often have a tortured human element to the story, this is probably best shown in the movie Ginger Snaps where lycanthropy is linked with pubescence.
